Hopes Crushed After Man Jumped By Teens Who Claimed To Have His Missing Dog

Police are looking for a group of Maryland teens who assaulted and robbed a man after claiming they had found his lost dog, authorities say.

A group of five teen boys jumped the 43-year-old victim after calling him to the area of Stilllmeadows Drive and Dove Court in Severn, claiming they had his missing dog, according to Anne Arundel County police.

The victim went to meet up with the caller around 2:40 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, where he encountered the group of teens. The teens were able to steal $250.00 from the man before fleeing the scene. 

The victim sustained bruises from being punched in the side of the head and the face but did not require stitches. Police described the suspects as black males around 15-19 years old, wearing all black clothing.
